La Vaquita is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant on Mar de Cortez Norte street which is a block north of the north end of the San Felipe Malecon.
Owned by Jose Maria Cuevas and managed by Diana Cuevas they are also one of the prime music venues in San Felipe. Established in 2003, they have a faithful following among the Canadians and Americans residents of San Felipe. Vacationers who are lucky to find this spot are never disappointed.
Their fresh fish is local and from west coast suppliers. They work hard to find unusual seafood items and their customers are appreciative. Every meal here is a work of art. he
One of their specialties is steamed clams. Done with butter, white wine and garlic they are a meal to satisfy a very discerning palate.
Their Friday night special is Steak with all the trimmings plus a very entertaining blues band playing live music. Requests are welcome.
Interior seating is for 85 and on the open air elevated exterior deck 25 is comfortable.
La Vaquita has a business center that provides complete audio and visual services for their client’s presentations.
